Week 2, Day 4: Holy

by Dan Weyerhaeuser, Senior Pastor

Greetings Follower,

Welcome to another day of remembering and walking with Christ! Take a few minutes and get still. Turn over to the Lord those things that are crying for your attention. Ask Him to speak to you through His Word.

Read Psalm 24 slowly, out loud, three times.

V 1-2 What do you learn about the LORD from these verses?

Make each observation about God something you speak with God about. (“You own the world and everything in it… that includes me, my family, this place where I am sitting…”etc.)

V. 3-4 What do these verses tell us?

What does it mean to “lift up your soul” to what is false? Can you think of ways that you do that? Confess each one to the LORD, agreeing with Him that loving each of these things “to which you lift your soul” dishonors Him and you don’t want to do that any more.

Note: Psalm 24 tells us what we must be like to approach God. This highlights how tremendous the ministry of Jesus who died for us is, and who made a way for us to approach God. He looks at us and sees the holy heart and life of Christ. He welcomes you as He welcomes His son. What do you have to say to Him because this is so? You might want to take the time to write Him a note of thanks, expressing in your own words how you feel that THIS God Who can only be approached by the totally holy, welcomes you through Christ.

V. 5-6 What is the result of time with the LORD?

Have you experienced “blessing” from time with Him in these days? Thank Him.

Who are two people you know who don’t know Him? Pray for them that God would open their hearts and give you a chance to love them.

What things are before you today that you need the Lord’s help with? Ask His leading and help that in each of these things, He would be honored!

When will you remember His holiness today?
