This is our last day on the “immutability” of God. What impact have these days had upon you? As you turn your attention to God, thank Him that this is so! Remember together specific ways His unchanging character has helped you this week.
Read Ephesians 1:3-4 three times out loud.
These two verses are simply AMAZING! Praise is our response of joy and wonder at something amazing. What reason to these verses give us to give “all praise” to God?
God gave us these verses because He wants us to know Him. What are the attributes He shows us of Himself here? Write each attribute down that you see. As always, take time over each, talking with God about what you see of Him here.
Now, next to each attribute of the Lord you have written down, go back and write down how each one makes a difference in your life. (How do you respond to knowing that in Christ, God has given you every spiritual blessing He has to give?) Then take time to thank the Lord for each one. (Take your time!)
Specifically, when was it that God decided He wanted you as His child? How do you respond to this?
How glad are you to know He does not change? Tell Him! Ask Him to help you become more faithful and unchanging in your character.
Take each of the benefits you have just captured and pray them for your family, friends, and church. Ask God to make these things known in their lives.
What things are before you today that you need the Lord’s help with? Ask His leading and help that in each of these things, He would be honored!
Who are two people you know who don’t know Him? Pray for them that God would open their hearts and give you a chance to love them.
Write Eph 1:3-4 on a piece of paper and look at it at the top of each hour throughout the day. If you do, by the end of your day, people will ask why you are in such a good place!
